Can't touch this requires completing a run without taking damage. Plan to avoid contact rather than deliberately absorb hits with armor.
Lily_Thief describes keeping two bosses outside contact range and waiting for their timers during an Underdog + Pacifist run that dealt 1 damage per hit. This is a player example of boss positioning, not a complete sequence for every boss.
Prioritize a small body, movement, dodge and distance from the boss before risking contact for more damage.
Use positioning advice within its demonstrated scope
The small-body route and Smol Dodge guide are relevant because the objective is avoiding damage throughout a completed run. Their usefulness is in movement and avoiding contact, not in making a received hit disappear from the achievement’s history. Healing back to full health does not turn a damaged run into a no-damage run. Steam achievement condition
Lily_Thief’s example concerns keeping two bosses out of contact range until their timers ended with Underdog and Pacifist. It does not establish a timer-only solution for every boss or demonstrate that any defensive stat guarantees an untouched run. Keep the positioning idea separate from a claim that the entire achievement was reproduced with a complete recorded build. Lily_Thief · boss-positioning report
Do not import the separate pacifist route’s outgoing-damage restriction into this condition. Can’t touch this is about damage received. Adding an unnecessary ban on all attacks changes the planning problem, while attacking successfully still does not excuse any incoming damage. Steam achievement condition
FAQ
Is finishing with full health enough?
No. The condition covers taking damage during the run, not only the health shown at the finish. Restoring lost health is different from never losing it to damage. Steam achievement condition
Does the two-boss report prove armor or Dodge guarantees success?
No. Lily_Thief describes distance and waiting in one particular encounter. That report does not establish a universal defensive threshold or a complete no-damage route for every boss. Lily_Thief · boss-positioning report
Do not turn a stun into a contact-safe opening
Version 1.2 lowered bosses’ base Stun resistance but made their resistance increase as the player stuns them during the fight. The game provides a pop-up when that resistance rises. A plan based on repeatedly freezing a boss therefore needs to respond to the fight’s changing state; an earlier successful stun does not guarantee an identical opening every time. Keep an escape route available when deciding whether another attack is worth the approach. Official 1.2 notes
Shellephant is a concrete exception to treating stun as a complete stop: the same notes say she continues rolling while stunned, at greatly reduced speed. Waiting in her rolling path is not justified by the stun animation. For this achievement, the useful choice is preserving separation from the moving body, not testing whether an armor layer can absorb the contact without invalidating the run.
