Deal over 200 damage with a stone. Steam condition

How to earn this achievement

Before judging the stone’s damage, distinguish a missed throw from a low-damage hit. OddDreamsDigital explains that a quick tap behaves differently from holding the input and that close targets can be hit. If the problem is reaching a nearby target, compare the input being used before adding more damage support to an attack that has not connected. OddDreamsDigital · throwing controls

Prepare the throw for the damage condition

Steam specifies over 200 damage with a stone. The word “over” makes exactly 200 insufficient under the published wording. It does not specify a regular boss kill, which belongs to Bullseye. Keeping the damage condition separate from the killing-blow condition prevents an unnecessary boss-only restriction. Steam achievement condition

The stone route is useful for arranging a throw and reserving ammunition, while the Stoner guide explains the input distinction. OddDreamsDigital confirms that a quick tap differs from holding the input and that nearby targets can be hit. That reply does not supply a damage multiplier or a guaranteed 200-plus throw. Training and Signal should also be kept separate. The official 1.1 notes say Stoner kills with Training permanently increase Physical and Ability. Signal marks targets and gives Charmed allies 50% more damage against Tracked enemies; that ally bonus is not a blanket 50% increase to Darwin’s stone damage. Official 1.1 notes

FAQ

Does exactly 200 damage meet the requirement?

The official text says over 200, so the stated threshold is greater than 200. A rounded display near the boundary is not enough to establish hidden precision or an alternative threshold. Steam achievement condition

Must the stone kill a boss?

Mountain Man’s published condition specifies stone damage, not a boss kill. Bullseye is the separate regular-boss stone-kill goal. A useful throwing setup may serve both, but their conditions must still be checked independently. Steam achievement condition

Read the throw’s behaviour separately from its damage value

Version 1.1 made Stoner projectiles faster and easier to hit. That is a change to delivery, not a published flat increase that can simply be added to the stone’s damage number. It can explain why an older aiming demonstration feels different, but the achievement still requires the observed stone damage to exceed 200. Improving consistency and reaching the damage threshold remain distinct parts of the attempt. Official 1.1 notes Steam achievement condition

Version 1.2 separately fixed persistent audio after a stun interrupted Stoner charging. A sound continuing after interruption is therefore a documented historical symptom, not proof that a held throw completed its charge or dealt damage. Review whether the projectile actually hit before interpreting the resulting number; the sound fix gives no new charge duration, multiplier or stun immunity. Official 1.2 notes

When comparing attempts, keep the target of the comparison clear. If one throw missed and another connected, the difference does not isolate damage scaling. If both connected but the visible value remains below the strict threshold, the control problem and the damage problem have different answers. The cited materials support that distinction, but do not supply a required stat total or a guaranteed number of Training kills.
