Stoner searches usually mean stone attacks, Bullseye routing, or a Trickster attack plan. It needs movement and setup time, because stone goals fail if the boss dies normally first.
A June 6, 2026 developer reply says Stoner can produce some of the strongest damage in the game when setup correctly, with Bullseye called out as a natural pairing.
The June 9 community feedback thread adds the practical caveat: many controller players still avoid Stoner because the aim tax is high, so only draft it when the run can safely create throw windows instead of panic-firing at point blank.
Late-June post-1.1 player reports now provide live proof instead of only teaser wording: one player says Stoner plus Bullseye/Chosen carried a Pressure 12 clear, while another says Trunk first into Stoner second felt much better on Steam Deck after the update.
Use it for a dedicated stone or physical setup route rather than as a random side attack.
