Version 1.2 awards the Sandshark’s Claws cosmetic for Disguised, which requires defeating a Sandshark while Fin is equipped. Official 1.2 notes
Fast swipes reward repeated safe attack opportunities. If you must leave melee range immediately after every approach, compare a longer-range attack before spending more on swipe damage.
The 1.2 notes say Toe Beans will no longer visibly show on Darwin when Claws are equipped. This is a visual change; the note does not say that choosing Claws removes Toe Beans or cancels their effect. Official 1.2 notes
The named requirement is Fin equipped when a Sandshark is defeated. The reward’s name, Sandshark’s Claws, does not add Claws to that requirement or change the attack’s damage. Keep the required Fin choice separate from the attack you use to complete the fight, and choose that attack for the openings you can safely take.
In theLiteralWorst’s v1.2 guide, the proposed Claws route pairs it with Primal Spurs and saves unspent Mutagen. The practical tension is between retaining that resource for the combination and spending it on another upgrade. This is the author’s suggested route, not a measured damage multiplier or evidence that saving every point is always the strongest choice. theLiteralWorst · v1.2 guide
Direct-contact damage, meat routing, and Physical scaling for players who want bosses to end quickly instead of becoming endurance checks.
Read guideCheck that the attack you intend to keep scales with Physical. If the route has shifted to Ability or Social, stop investing here merely because it helped an earlier attack.
Read guideChoose it when safe meat collection is already realistic. If killing for food costs too much health or time, a stronger meat reward will not fix the underlying hunting problem.
Read guide: Added theLiteralWorst’s v1.2 Primal Spurs and unspent-Mutagen pairing as an attributed player suggestion, without turning its favorable evaluation into a measured multiplier or universal spending rule.
