Everything is Crab Attack Guide: How to Change Attacks, Best Combos

Current player reports describe two equipped attack slots: gain attacks through evolution picks, then use the bottom-left loadout area on the level-up screen to swap or reorder them instead of trying to edit attacks during normal movement.

Practical use

  1. Open a level-up screen and use the two attack slots in the bottom-left loadout area; mouse players report drag-and-drop, while controller players can move the cursor over the slots.
  2. The swap interface is tied to the level-up screen, so arrange attacks there rather than expecting a freely available combat hotbar editor.
  3. Before replacing an attack, decide whether the run scales Physical, Ability, poison, Social, or Body Slam.
  4. If a new attack splits your scaling, keep the existing route and spend mutagen on support instead.
  5. For Zen, Dove, Harmless, or other damage-sensitive goals, avoid drafting an active attack you could trigger accidentally.

How changing attacks actually works

Player questionShort answerBest next page
How do I change attacks? On a level-up screen, drag the two bottom-left attack slots or select them with the controller cursor.Evolution list
Should I replace my current attack?Only if the new attack uses the same scaling story or solves a boss window.Stats explained
Which attack should I keep?Keep the one that matches Physical, Ability, poison, Social, or Body Slam support already online.Builds
Can I test the final slots first?Use the planner to append picks and preview visible body-slot changes before committing.Build planner

Changing attacks is a route decision. If the replacement splits your stats, the run usually gets weaker even when the card is rarer.

Best attack and combo chooser

There is no single best attack for every run. Start with the stat and support pieces already online, then choose the attack family that keeps using them.

Route already onlineAttack or combo to compareWhy it fitsSkip when
Physical and safe contactPincer, Claws, or Jaws with Reach and SharpenKeeps Physical investment focused and turns spacing into repeatable hits. The run cannot survive contact or still lacks movement.
Ability or poisonSpit or Projectile Tongue with Poisonous Saliva and poison supportUses ranged uptime, status scaling, and safer boss windows. You are attempting Zen, Dove, Vegan, or another damage-sensitive goal.
Large body and Max HPBody Slam with Hump, Robust, and More MassConverts a finished large-body shell into one committed payoff.Size is already causing body blocks or the defensive budget is unfinished.
Stone setupStoner with Bullseye and a movement windowRewards deliberate aim and preparation instead of adding another general-purpose attack.Controller aim or close-range panic leaves no safe throw window.
Social controlTail Wag with Courting Display, Pack, and ally protectionUses allies to create time and pressure rather than splitting into unrelated personal damage.Allies die before bosses or the run has no personal fallback.

Treat these as route matches, not a tier list. Rarity cannot repair a combo that uses the wrong stat, body slot, or achievement rule.

Pincer, Spit, Projectile Tongue, Body Slam, Stoner, Bullseye, Charm Swarm.
