Compare the Mutagen reward with the value of the other choices. Take the rewarded option when it fits the route; passing up a needed attack or movement choice can cost more than the currency gains.

Does an absent tooltip prove that Stubborn had no effect?

Version 1.1.1 fixed Stubborn’s tooltip sometimes being absent from Point of Interest and Evolution menus. A missing tooltip in an older recording is therefore not enough to show that the Genetic had no effect. Check which menu and version the recording uses before comparing its displayed choice with a current run; the hotfix does not announce a new reward amount. Official 1.1.1 hotfix

2026-10-30: Added the 1.1.1 correction for missing Stubborn tooltips in Point of Interest and Evolution menus, explaining why an absent older tooltip does not establish a different reward amount.
