Where can I see each Genetic’s highest cleared Pressure?

Open Codex Genetics and compare the highest cleared Pressure for each genetic. The developer confirmed this record on July 2, 2026.

At run start, the skull and number in the splicing menu show the same kind of highest-Pressure record. Use it to find a genetic still below your target.

Where are Challenge completions recorded?

Challenge completion is checked separately: select the challenge and look for ticks beside genetics in its selection menu.

Does one combined-Genetic victory establish credit for two entries?

Before repeating your usual build with a different genetic, read that genetic’s starting effect and restrictions. Adjust the parts it changes rather than assuming all starts behave alike.

A personal checklist can add route notes and planned attempts. The developer’s reply does not explain how a combined-genetic victory is credited, so do not assume it completes two entries.

Separate the columns before comparing starts

Use a matrix with one row per Genetic and separate columns for highest Pressure and each Challenge you want to finish. The developer’s tracking explanation supports those separate observations; it does not describe a single universal completion tick. For example, a row with Pressure 12 and a tick for Wounded answers two different questions. Neither entry establishes a Pressure 20 victory or completion of another Challenge.

The practical benefit is choosing the next attempt from an actual gap. If your objective is all Genetics at Pressure 20, a familiar start with a lower record remains unfinished even if it has several Challenge ticks. If your objective is one Challenge across different Genetics, the highest-Pressure number alone cannot identify the missing rows.

Read the starting rules during the run

Odd Dreams Digital explains that the Character screen is available through Tab or C, or through CHARACTER in the pause menu. The selected one or two Genetics appear below the animated Darwin. Hover over them to read their tooltips. The same reminder can be reached during Evolution, Specialisation and Point of Interest selection.

This is particularly useful after accepting a splice: use the actual two displayed names when interpreting an offer. Remembering only the first Genetic can obscure a restriction or benefit supplied by the other. The developer also discussed a proposed hover preview of changed attributes, but agreeing that it would be useful did not announce that proposal as an available feature.

What a comparison can and cannot establish

Treat a high record as evidence that you completed that difficulty with the Genetic, not a rating of how easy it will be for every player. A clear can depend on an unusual offer sequence, a particular version or a combination that the next attempt does not receive. Record a short route note beside the result if it helps you remember why the run worked.

Keep unknown splice credit visibly undecided in your own notes until you inspect the game’s records. The July 2 question asked about this, but the developer answered the menu-location questions without specifying whether a combined victory updates two entries. Filling both cells automatically would turn an unanswered rule into a claimed result.

Should I copy the same build for every Genetic?

Start from the Genetic’s actual restriction. A route built around selecting specific offers needs reconsideration if the chosen start changes selection. A familiar damage plan may still be useful, but the way you obtain its components can change.

Why keep version information in a personal note?

Version 1.2 changed Chosen to offer three new Legendary Evolutions, excluding upgrades and branching Evolutions. A successful older Chosen route can therefore describe choices that are unavailable under the newer rule. Recording the version preserves that distinction.
