Highborn unlock, effect, and nearby-area answer

Highborn is a genetics unlock, not an evolution. Unlock it by dealing 2000 or more total damage in a single run; this is different from Ultrabonk, which asks for one 500+ damage hit.

An August developer clarification resolves the important wording: Highborn lowers Physical and Ability, while general Damage is a separate multiplier and is not reduced. Damage text that names neither Physical nor Ability can therefore remain strong.

The developer specifically confirms Spines as a strong Highborn pick. Toe Beans also keeps its Social scaling, so build around the expanded nearby area and general-Damage or Social interactions instead of treating Highborn as a Physical or Ability starter.
