Treat the opening and the later benefit as separate stages when comparing an older guide with a current run. What should I prioritize before the second boss?
Choose a plan that can feed and survive with all three opening penalties present. Damage concerns the attack plan, Health concerns the room for mistakes, and Progress concerns advancement. If the first encounters are already unreliable, a later bonus is not a substitute for solving those encounters; reassess the route after reaching the stated second-boss milestone.
Does the Ambivalent result tell me how to unlock Underdog?
No. The pictured run starts with Underdog already available. Use it as a combination someone played, then inspect your own locked Codex entry for the unlock instruction. Neither adding Ambivalent nor reaching the pictured Pressure and Extinction values establishes an unlock requirement.
