Everything is Crab Full Crab Carcinisation Build Guide

Carapace, pincers, legs, shells, and food-rarity tradeoffs. Strong when the run is stable; dangerous in Pressure 20 or damage-sensitive routes if taken while behind.

Route purpose

Carapace, pincers, legs, shells, and food-rarity tradeoffs. Strong when the run is stable; dangerous in Pressure 20 or damage-sensitive routes if taken while behind.

Every build can fail if it ignores food economy, movement, or boss timing. Use the linked evolution pages to patch the missing part.

Opening checks

  1. Before the first boss, have at least two of food, movement, and mistake budget.
  2. If the core pieces do not appear, stay alive with a conservative shell.
  3. Spend mutagen on the current bottleneck before chasing perfect build identity.

Route phases

  1. Take crab pieces when they solve your current run, not only because they fit the theme.
  2. An official August 15 developer reply confirms that 10 current evolutions affect Carcinisation. The game's premise is that Darwin is defying convergent evolution, so a full-crab route is an optional risk-reward build rather than the only intended way to win.
  3. Use Shell, Exoskeleton, and Carapace to offset the danger of higher Carcinisation.
  4. Pincer and Pistol Pincer let the route become a real damage plan instead of pure identity.
  5. For Pressure 20 and no-heal challenge attempts, avoid extra Carcinisation unless food, dodge, movement, and mitigation are already solved.
  6. For Carcinisation 7, the clean public route is Antennae, Shell, Exoskeleton, Moulting, Arms into Pincer into Pistol Pincer, plus Arthropod Legs into Scuttle or More Legs; avoid Fur or Scales when they would block the crab branches you still need.
  7. For The Crabtain, route Carcinisation as the run goal, prefer a low-pressure Patient or reroll setup, and treat non-crab body branches as possible lockouts.
  8. Recent June discussion makes one frustration explicit: runs often stall at 8 or 9 Carcinisation because Convergent Evolution is still offer-gated, so keep the route flexible enough to survive while fishing for the last crab piece.
  9. Stop adding extra risks once survival gets thin.

Pivot rules

  1. If two level-ups in a row miss the core pieces, pivot toward the stat line already showing up.
  2. When food collapses, pause damage greed and repair progress, storage, or safe foraging.
  3. When boss damage lags, upgrade one main attack instead of spreading mutagen across every button.

Stat priority

  • Carcinisation
  • Plating
  • Physical or Ability
  • Food rarity

Common mistakes

  1. Taking Carcinisation while low on HP or before a boss.
  2. Building crab identity without any attack.
  3. Taking non-crab branches while chasing The Crabtain.
  4. Assuming better food rarity cancels out the damage-taken penalty in high pressure.
  5. Forgetting that better food does not matter if you die before eating it.
