Everything is Crab Pincer Evolution Guide

Ability-based pincer attack tied to crab identity.

Version notes

The launch announcement includes Pincer among the Supporter Pack’s Ghost Crab cosmetics and states that those visual items do not change gameplay or progression. Official launch announcement

Choose the appearance separately from the attack’s Ability requirements. The pack description is not evidence of a damage upgrade or a way to bypass an Evolution unlock.

Practical use

Treat the Ability scaling and crab affinity as separate choices. If your current attack plan is Physical, compare the cost of changing its supporting stats before committing to the claw just for the theme.

Pincer FAQ

Is Pincer the same slot choice as Pistol Pincer?

No. This entry is the Common Attack named Pincer; Pistol Pincer is the separate Epic Ultimate. Distinguish their categories before planning your buttons. The shared crab theme and the two Supporter Pack appearances do not make them interchangeable attacks.

Which part of a crab build should decide the upgrade?

Check whether you need an Ability-based attack or another contribution to the crab affinity plan. If the attack is already doing its job, a thematic match alone does not show that another Pincer upgrade is the best use of the choice. Judge the offered effect against the part of the build that still needs work.

A player observation about Pincer’s hits

In a May 21 discussion, Evilinferno described Pincer as hitting twice when explaining an Ability-focused route. Their claim that it was the best Ability damage option was a personal comparison, not a measured ranking. The two-hit observation is useful when reviewing an attack, but it does not establish a per-hit coefficient or prove that both hits will connect against every moving target.
