FAQ

Which version should I read when checking a changed rule?

Version 1.2 went live on August 13, 2026; it is the current major gameplay baseline.

Use the dedicated Version 1.2 full notes page for the feature baseline and the 1.2.1 page for the latest fixes.

Which named content additions belong to version 1.2?

The 1.2 update adds Projectile Tongue, Pedal Glands, Spinnerets, and Jet, with six named specialisations across the first three.

Contrarian and Elitist are live Genetics with documented unlocks and selection-pool tradeoffs.

Does the 1.2.1 startup repair restore the interrupted run?

Version 1.2.1 followed on August 20 and is the current hotfix checkpoint for corrupted Resume Run saves, Branching Boss Fruit timing, controller snap navigation, Steam Input, multiple gamepads, Alt-tabbing, and several UI issues.

Mid-run saves cover Endless, Challenges, and regular Pressure Runs, with one resumable slot and restrictions during selection screens; 1.2.1 now detects a corrupted resume slot and lets the game continue after losing that interrupted run.

Guide Facts That Can Change After Patches Guide

Compare your installed version and exact in-game requirement before repeating an unlock or rebuilding a route. A changed starting bonus does not establish a changed unlock condition.

For missing achievements, check the specific trigger: Version 1.1.2 repaired It was a dinosaur. For builds, compare changed costs, rewards and restrictions: Version 1.1 changed genetic bonuses; Version 1.2 changed Chosen’s treatment of new Legendary Evolutions.

Use the official platform store for availability and installation. Report discrepancies with the page URL, installed version and differing game text.

Find the change that matches the symptom

Read the specific entry before deciding whether a surprising result is a bug, an intentional change or an older guide describing an earlier build. The cases below point to released notes. They do not establish your installed version or replace the detailed conditions shown in the game.

Observed behaviorRelevant versionHow to interpret the note
A newly selected attack, dash or ability does not equip immediately1.2The notes fix an immediate-equipping issue. Compare a report from an older build with that fix before treating the same interface behavior as the intended restriction. This entry does not promise that every input or controller issue has the same cause. Official 1.2 notes
Chosen does not offer an upgrade to an owned Evolution1.2This is an intentional balance change: the offers are three new Legendary Evolutions, excluding upgrades and Branching Evolutions. An old upgrade strategy can stop applying without the offer system being broken. Official 1.2 notes
Spit stops on a tree or rock1.2The collision changes make Spit interact with more world elements, including rocks and trees, while no longer colliding with cobwebs. A clear shot through a web and a blocked shot through terrain are therefore different cases. Official 1.2 notes
Stoner audio continues after a stun interrupts charging1.2The note addresses persistent audio after that interruption. It does not specify a changed damage value, charge duration or stun immunity. Match the sound symptom to this entry without inferring a new combat bonus. Official 1.2 notes
A stunned Shellephant keeps rolling1.2The described behavior is continued rolling at greatly reduced speed. A stun is not described as a complete stop during this attack, so a route that waits directly in the rolling path needs a different positioning assumption. Official 1.2 notes
Nutritious or a stat-changing point of interest no longer heals in Wounded1.1The update specifically prevents those healing paths in Wounded. A historical clear that depended on either interaction is not evidence of a working route under the corrected restriction. Keep the challenge condition attached to the advice. Official 1.1 notes
Meteor damage appears in the result of a Zen attempt1.1The update records that damage on the end screen and says it invalidates Zen. Finishing the encounter is separate from meeting Zen’s damage restrictions; the result should not be dismissed merely because the damaging event was environmental. Official 1.1 notes
Darwee does not use the ordinary maximum-charmed-allies count1.2The new creature has a separate cap of ten and does not count toward that ordinary maximum. Do not use the number of Darwee alone as proof that a condition requiring ordinary charmed allies has been met. Official 1.2 notes

Before comparing a new report with an old one

  1. Write down the installed version and the mode. A Pressure, Challenge or Endless report may concern different restrictions even when the same Evolution is involved.
  2. Identify the action and outcome separately. Selecting an attack, equipping it and using it are different events; a screenshot of the selected card does not show the entire sequence.
  3. Compare the exact affected interaction. A fix for a sound persisting after a stun cannot establish that a projectile, damage value or unrelated control now behaves differently.
  4. Keep an earlier report’s date attached to it. A later correction explains why old advice may differ, but does not prove that every new occurrence has been reproduced or resolved.

Update history

: Added eight symptom-to-version comparisons, including Chosen offers, Spit collisions, Stoner audio, Shellephant rolling, Wounded healing and Darwee counts. Separated intended changes from fixes without generalising their scope.
