Everything is Crab Pressure 20 Complete Build Guide

A mastery route for high-pressure clears, all-genetics completion, Extinction goals, and challenge finalisation. Recent community routes split into big physical, big ability, tiny survival, and full-Social shells.

Which route should I choose for Pressure 20?

The player examples below use different approaches: large Physical or Ability builds, small-body survival, and Social support. Choose according to the early offers and the first boss; a successful example is not a guaranteed recipe.

Before investing further, identify the immediate failure point: food, movement, protection, or a way to finish the boss. Change that part before replacing the whole route.

Route phases

  1. High pressure asks what removes failure points: food, movement, defense, reliable damage, and boss timing.
  2. The May 17 Reddit Pressure 20 route recommends fishing for a favorable first biome/boss, then using Stubborn if available or Patient/Picky when the start needs more control.
  3. A May 20 Steam discussion adds three source-led shells to test: large Physical Body Slam/Revenge, large Ability Beak plus Spit/Leech with Poisonous Saliva and Agile, and small Vegan cooldown/burrow survival.
  4. The June 10 community discussion reinforces that the shell split is still real: tiny Pacifist or Prey-Imposing survival, focused Ability with Beak or Spit, and Body Slam remain viable if the run solves food and movement first.
  5. June Steam proof and a mid-July Reddit thread now add a clearer Social branch: a Pressure 20 shell can stay tiny, stack speed and senses, use Social pressure plus passive food value from Prehensile Tail and Cheek Pouch, and let boss timers do the last part.
  6. A September 2 Japanese Version 1.2 review adds another confirmed Pressure 20 clear: build Prey affinity, stay small, raise Ability and Dodge, use Spit with poison, and take Ruminant as early as possible.
  7. Treat those as route archetypes, not exact recipes; first boss and patch version still decide whether to pivot.
  8. Priority order is speed, dodge, terrain adaptation, smaller hitbox, damage reduction, HP, regeneration, then poison resistance; do not attack before dodging.
  9. Avoid extra Carcinisation unless the run has already solved food, dodge, movement, and mitigation.
  10. For all-genetics completion, repeat a stable shell first and change only the starting genetic variable.

Common mistakes

  1. Combining pressure push, collection, pacifist, and burst goals in one run.
  2. Attacking before dodging in high-pressure boss windows.
  3. Following a forum recipe literally after a patch or bad first boss.
  4. Changing too many variables after a failed clear.
  5. Treating high rarity as more important than a complete route.

Check the version before copying a starting setup

Chosen changed in 1.2: its offers contain three new Legendary Evolutions, without upgrades or branching Evolutions. A route that relies on developing a specific existing branch therefore needs more thought than selecting a genetic because another player won with it. Read the current offer against the next job the build must perform. Source: Official 1.2 notes

The 1.1 fixes state that poison no longer resets Ruminant’s cooldown. This is a specific interaction relevant when comparing the reported Prey and poison approach above. It does not mean poison cannot hurt you or that the food plan is complete; keep the cooldown interaction separate from damage resistance, movement and reaching food. Source: Official 1.1 notes

FAQ

Does one Pressure 20 win complete every starting genetic?

Selective Pressure 20 records the Pressure 20 clear. Complete asks for Pressure 20 with every Genetic. Treat the starting choice as part of the completion target instead of assuming one successful setup covers the rest. A useful repeated route still has to accommodate the different effects and costs of the genetic actually selected. Source: Steam achievement conditions

Does this build list also prove a route for every Challenge?

No. Challengedn’t, Gilded and Really describe separate Challenge completion goals. The Pressure examples above do not establish a universal solution to those rules. Check the chosen Challenge before copying an attack plan, and keep its completion record separate from a regular Pressure result. Source: Steam achievement conditions

Should I add Carcinisation just to finish Complete?

Complete’s listed target concerns Pressure 20 and Genetics; The Crabtain separately asks for Carcinisation 10 in one run. Adding that stat objective creates another decision to support during an already demanding attempt. Keep it separate unless your current choices can sustain it without losing the food, movement or combat answer needed for the Pressure clear. Source: Steam achievement conditions

Storage pays after you can collect surplus food. Use the reserve to bridge stretches without safe pickups; if the pouch stays empty, improve food access before investing further in storage.

Plan food access around the starting Vegan Evolution. If the run also targets Dove or Zen, follow that achievement's separate damage restrictions; the starting genetic and the achievement are different choices.
