The Version 1.1 notes place Overwhelm’s unlock at the first victory on Pressure 4. Official 1.1 notes
That update also stopped Overwhelm and Sharpen bonuses from applying to damage-over-time attacks such as Poison. Official 1.1 notes
For a poison route, separate the initial hit from later poison damage before valuing this upgrade. The patch does not provide a complete damage table for each amount of Plating.
Judge the damage bonus by the Plating you retain during the fight, not only the amount shown before it. If armor is repeatedly lost, restoring its uptime may matter more than adding another damage upgrade.
Max HP, Size, Body Slam, food reach, POI leveling, and durability scaling. After 1.0.1, Robust is still useful but cannot be the whole tank plan.

Read guideWatch how much Plating survives the encounters that cause trouble. If each approach strips it immediately, improve the approach or compare resistance; more starting armor may not solve repeated bad contact.
Read guideResistance and Plating can help absorb mistakes, but check the achievement condition before relying on a protected hit. Surviving contact and recording no damage taken are different goals.
