Already released
August 13, 2026 — Version 1.2 added evolutions, specialisations, Genetics, achievements and mid-run saves. The full notes explain their conditions and balance changes.
August 20, 2026 — Hotfix 1.2.1 addressed corrupted Resume Run startup, Branching Boss Fruit timing and controller issues. Being able to launch again does not mean a damaged run can be recovered.
The current 1.3 window is November, not a fixed release date
In an October 9 team update, Odd Dreams Digital said 1.3 had entered the final stretch of development and was currently planned for November. “Currently planned” is a window that may change, not a confirmed release day. The post gives no exact date or complete feature list. On October 27, the developer posted the first labelled 1.3 teaser: the clip shows movement through water and an encounter, but the post does not name the enemy, mechanic or feature. Comment guesses about a new boss, replacement system, Twitch integration or co-op are not confirmations. The separate October 28 platform announcement is also not a 1.3 feature list or fixed update date.
Odd Dreams Digital said that 1.3 would improve the water side of the game. The reply was posted September 4 at 22:52 UTC (September 5 at 06:52 in UTC+8). That reply itself did not specify a complete feature list or release date.
The October 9 update narrows the earlier late-2026 plan to a currently planned November window. It still gives no exact day and does not say that every water, biome, event or Sandbox idea will be included.
On September 21 at 22:55 UTC, Odd Dreams Digital said the exact contents of Version 1.4 were still to be confirmed. Sandbox is one option being considered for 1.4 and may arrive later; this is neither a feature confirmation nor a release window. The same reply calls 1.3 a large content update tied to the existing roadmap, without adding a date or complete feature list.
Mountains, rivers, hazards, new biomes and random events were proposed by SathraxDeprawn. The developer said the team would consider ideas. That response does not confirm that those individual features will ship in 1.3.
The 1.2 teaser trail records what was announced before release. For a game you are playing now, compare the installed version with the full release notes and subsequent fixes. The roadmap does not change current unlock requirements or guarantee a build will work.
Can I plan a 1.3 route around every proposed terrain feature?
No. The developer’s water-improvement statement has a different status from the player’s list of mountains, rivers and hazards. Do not combine them into a promised feature set. For a run on the released version, use the terrain and choices actually available; revisit the route when release notes describe a specific change. Source
Does “one option for 1.4” mean Sandbox is scheduled?
It records a possibility under discussion. The September developer reply leaves the contents of 1.4 undecided and allows Sandbox to come later. Neither a player’s preferred update nor the order of version numbers establishes a delivery date. Keep Sandbox out of a list of released modes until an announcement or the game itself confirms availability. Source
Which update should I read for a problem in an existing save?
Start with released fixes that match the symptom. For example, the 1.2.1 startup fix addresses a corrupted resumable run; an outline of future features cannot tell you whether that repair is installed. Record your current version and whether the problem concerns loading, controls or a gameplay condition, then compare the corresponding notes. A roadmap month is not a troubleshooting instruction. : Added questions distinguishing developer plans, player terrain suggestions and released fixes. Kept Sandbox’s possible 1.4 inclusion unconfirmed and separated roadmap timing from troubleshooting an existing save.
